The software runs on any computer using Microsoft Windows (any
version 95 - XP). Following are

An outline of the basic operation of the system follows:
| Once only enter information for each patient like name, address, insurance, medical
notes, etc. When a patient is in simply select the treatment performed from a menu. Fees
appear automatically, but can of course be overridden. Then you may select to print an
insurance claim, set up an electronic claim, print a walkout bill, and/or schedule an
appointment. Later you enter the insurance payment and the system automatically sends
patient bills until the balance is paid. All you really must do is enter codes and
payments, because the system keeps track of all other details like printing, addresses,
fees, dates, payments made, etc. |
| At any time (usually once a month), simply hit a key and the system prints reports like
patient bills, recall notices, or accounts receivable list. |
| You can see the office production for any time period showing all treatments performed
and their charges, payments collected, and adjustments made. These amounts can be broken
down for each provider and by different treatment groups (diagnostic, crowns, etc). |
| In addition to a ledger view showing payments and treatment for entire family, patient
treatment is grouped by visit day making it easy to track what claims are outstanding or
have problems. Appointments and recall show on the patient screen. The patient screen has
many options like router slip, treatment plan, medical history, referral, etc. |
| Walkout bills and insurance forms can be printed immediately since everything is printed
on blank white paper and no pre-printed forms are used. You can add finance charges for
late payment or assign a minimum payment plan. Bills and letters look very professional. |
| An entire schedule can also be viewed that allows you to print, view, or enter
appointments just as you would in your appointment book. Optionally you can get a list of
phone numbers for patients coming in on any given day or lists of who missed or canceled.
Recall is very easy with the system and keeps patients from becoming lost. The program can
print reminders or just list who is due in.

We are an authorized vendor in Pennsylvania for submitting direct, no-cost BLUE SHIELD
Electronic Mail Claims. We interface with a clearinghouse (ECF) for electronic claims of
all other carriers. We are also authorized vendors for the TROJAN electronic data base
which provides information about insurance patient benefits and co-payment.
Beyond the basic operations, there are many utility functions which are used to
different degrees by various offices. We added many of these functions specifically at the
request of dentists. The utility functions include lists of canceled and missed
appointments, sorting patients by select criteria, treatment plans, benefit plans,
multiple fee schedules, mail merging, and many more. If you have a special need, we can
program it in. This gives you power of a customized package at one of the most affordable
commercial rates on the market.
The data are stored in a commercial database (Paradox) so your data are easily extended
to other programs and you are not necessarily tied into us.
